A gray, dark cloud has settled on
I know not when or for how long
And though I think I recall the dawn
The dismal cloud has settled on
They say its darkest before the day
But its hard to listen anyway
When you yell ‘just go away’
That dismal cloud seems here to stay
Awoke again alone in bed
Things to say had all been said
The quiet deafening inside my head
That dark cloud fills my soul with dread
Fearfully I fret about the sun
When will it come, when will it come
Take away the darkness and leave none
banish the dark clouds and be done
Just when I thought there was a light
A ray to come and pierce the night
the darkness laughed and dashed the sight
The desolate dingy cloud will reign tonight
